S.O.S to me is much more than an educational platform, as you may have seen on my webpage - I've explored many learning platforms when it comes to SOCs and cybersecurity in general. But to me, S.O.S offers a networking safe space to ask those questions you need to, to learn and grow and to collaborate within a community. I love that the community is around, asking questions, sharing wins, sharing tips and advice, sharing resources, meeting other peers, as well as more established members.
It goes much further than a learning platform; it is a community.
Within S.O.S, I am a founding member. This means since S.O.S has gone live, I have had to oppertunity to help form and shape the community. Each week, I participate in AMAs where members discuss platform improvements and share ideas for growth.
Beyond the AMAs, I create posts about my personal journey - sharing lessons I've learnt from interviews, reflections on my learning progreess and write-ups on labs and exploring vulnerabilities. By being transparent about my journey in wins and setbacks, I hope to encourage others to get involved, ask questions and contribute their own experiences.
Below are a couple of snippets from community members to highlight some of the information that we share.
